New Writing

My work in progress is a humorous middle grade novel about a boy whose grandmother arrives from China and turns his world upside down.

Commissions

The Big Think is a new SMSC wellbeing programme for Primary Schools in the UK. Many of the new and inclusive stories were written by me. I also have been commissioned by Ladybird for a new anthology and I have a short story in the Oct-Nov 2018 edition of SCOOP MAGAZINE

Mentoring

My new BEA (British East Asian) mentee for 2019-2020 is Lui Sit (pronounced Louie) who writes middle grade. I was taken with Lui's writing from the first page and her earnest character Puffin. I can't wait to get stuck in!

My #WriteMentor for the summer is Lori Keckler from Texas who is writing a football themed middle grade novel starring Sofia. Lori is a member of SCBWI Austin and is eager to get started on her rewrites.

Both Lui and Lori have already had interest from multiple agents.
